Gracie + Matthew

I love weddings. I truly do. I love celebrating two people who love each other and want the whole world to know it! I love seeing all the emotion and excitement. And let’s be honest…I love the food and wedding cake.

This wedding was no exception! The wedding date had to be moved last minute, and it seemed like everyone involved just wanted to do their part to help the couple celebrate and get married. There were so many family and friends helping get everything set up and take care of all the last minute details. It was truly a team effort, and I felt honored to be a part of their day.

There were several moments during the day that were so sweet and memorable and make me so thankful to be a photographer, so that I get to share a small part in those moments! The couple last minute decided to do a first look before the ceremony. Everyone was rushing around trying to get everyone ready for the ceremony, but Gracie and Matthew were able to make their way to the back of their property to have a few minutes alone together. This was the first time I had seen them together, and while I was photographing their first look, their connection to one another was so evident. You could tell by the way they interacted that they were so ready to get married, and it was so sweet to get to have that calm, private moment in the middle of a busy wedding day.

Gracie and Matthew had a simple and elegant ceremony under their beautiful large canopy of trees in their backyard, which was truly breathtakingly beautiful! From the cute ring bearers pulling some of the little boys in a wagon, to the kiss at the end, the entire ceremony was perfect. The moment that made both my husband and I tear up though, were the dances! Hearing the song I loved her first while Gracie danced with her dad made us think about our own little girl one day (many years from now) marrying the man of her dreams, and that’s a lot of emotion to hold in!

Thank you Gracie and Matthew for allowing us to celebrate with you on your big day! I hope you enjoy these highlights from their wedding day.

I’m so thankful we were able to sneak them away for a few minutes to have this special moment!

Aren’t these trees so gorgeous? The perfect spot for their ceremony!
